I don’t blog about American politics often, but I am reblogging this, because I think it’s pretty powerful (okay, fine—I teared up at the end), and because it’s a reminder that, yes, a woman’s right to do whatever she’d like with her body is an important issue of politics and governance, and it is so because it’s been made one by people who see the female figure as a way to score a few political points. And also because, if a candidate can’t or won’t accord half of his would-be constituents the same respect as he would the other half, then shouldn’t that say more to us (us, good readers! us!) than any line he tosses out at a debate?
