Blogs don't burn

Emily · Quoth Gwen Stefani (sort of), "I'm just a girl in the world studying Soviet-era legal dissidence in Bremen, Germany"
Jun 25 '12
My friend Christine told me that she wanted me to start a soccer blog. I am probably not going to do this, partially because this would not go very well, but mostly because ohballs.tumblr.com is taken. However! If I were to make a soccer blog, this would be my best post.
This is Mesut Özil, or, as I like to call him, Eyes of Death (please see above photo). I did not like him at all back in the 2010 World Cup, because I was rooting for Argentina (I just really liked Sergio Romero, you guys) and England. However, since, this time round, I am hoping that Deutschland will, in fact, come out über alles, and also since I have learned that he used to play for Werder Bremen (club of my soon to be adoptive city), I have come to see Eyes of Death in a new, shining, life-giving light. Also, he is a third generation Turkish-German (there is a joke about imperial powers in here that I am not going to make), an award-winning integrator into German society (this is real thing, according to Wikipedia) who has said that he has never doubted his decision to play for Germany, and, as is abundantly clear even to the goofy likes of me, a very, very good player.
This concludes our first (and possibly last) installment of Oh, Balls!: A Downhill Tumbl.
