Okay SO. Today I finished the first season of Borgen (available online free right here for the next few days).  Is it a perfect show? No. Does it sometimes veer on the soap operatic? Yes. There’s love affairs, divorce, abortion, jealousy, trysts, etc. Do I sometimes clutch my face in frustration while watching it? Maybe. Is it also a very smart show with compelling characters that manages to combine high and low brow pretty seamlessly? Ja.
